Dante’s Inferno creators explain ‘Violence’ in latest dev diary

You might be wondering exactly how Visceral Games managed to get a level themed after “Violence” into Dante’s Inferno — a game where the lead character spends roughly 100% of his time killing anything near him. We were wondering too, and so it was really nice of Visceral Games and EA to release the above dev diary for the “month of violence” that the game’s marketing campaign is currently embracing to promote the game’s level based on the seventh circle of Hell.

The real question now: what can we expect EA’s marketing team during this month’s theme? We’re not sure just yet, but given its recent track record, we’re hoping no one goes to our Editor-in-Chief’s house to give him a lesson or two in violence.

  1. Hello, sir! Are you the David Getson, who helped create Dante’s Inferno the game? If so, then it is a pleasure to meet you, David, but I am not a fan! However, I am a fan of Dante’s Inferno! Dante’s Inferno is the main purpose of me being a film student-I want to turn the book into a motion picture! Sir, when I found out that there is a game coming soon, I almost lost it. I am feelng like my ideal is coming to life and I don’t even have anything to do with it. I ask you to please get in contact with me, just so I can get some knowledge and understanding of what to do now. Sir, I am only 22 years old, and I feel like every ideal and every goal is being met without me having any thing to even do with it. I hope you can understand where I am coming from. David, I don’t know who to talk to about this kind of stuff because I believe that somebody would steal my ideal for their own personal gain, so I ‘m going to school (the best thing I know to do) but look what has happened to me now. Is it the people you know, or what you know?

Thank You for your time, David
